We are In-Network with the following insurance carriers:
Cigna
Aetna
Medicare
Blue Cross Blue Shield NC
TRICARE Insurance
We are Out-of-Network with Tricare.
However, we agree to take Tricare pricing for office visits and will bill Tricare on behalf of our patients.
We will submit to Tricare insurance, once your Out-of-Network deductible has been met, your cost is typically 50% of the visit charges for covered services.
This deductible resets every calendar year.
Out-of-Network Updates:
We will not be In-Network with Medicaid or Ambetter at anytime.
We are working on UnitedHealthcare and Medcost credentialing currently.
Humana would not allow our practice to be In-Network. We will continue to pursue options with them in the future. For now, they will also be billed Out-of-Network.
**Medcost currently has a closed panel for applications, and we check back quarterly to see if they are allowing new applications for their network. We plan to apply when applications reopen.
Costs for In-Network Insurance Covered Visits
Copay or Co-Insurance
You will be responsible for any copay or co-insurance bills owed to Thomas Medical and can pay in person at the office or you will receive bills from Athenahealth, our billing company.
Cost for Out-of-Network Insurance
If you have Out-of-Network benefit coverage, you will pay based on your plan's benefits.
We will be billing insurance for a patient with an out-of-network benefit. Your account will be updated according to your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that you will receive from your insurance carrier.
Once we have received the Explanation of Benefits from your insurance company, your account will be adjusted according to your plan benefits.
Self Pay Visits
Are Available for $175 per visit and can be scheduled as needed without membership.

Additional recommendation: All In-Network insurance carriers listed above may have plans that we are not contracted with; we recommend contacting your insurance company and verifying we are in-network with your specific plan.
