Thomas Medical is a premier lifestyle wellness center that seamlessly integrates traditional primary care with functional medicine, offered through a flexible membership payment model while accepting most health insurance plans.
Additionally, we provide a range of à la carte wellness services, including functional medicine consults, hormone replacement therapy, peptides, physical therapy, vitamin IV hydration, body composition and aesthetic treatments. These services DO NOT require membership and are available for individual purchase on a cash-pay basis.

Do I need to be a member to receive healthcare at Thomas Medical?
NO! Service lines such as functional medicine consults, IV infusions, Physical Therapy, Peptides, HRT and aesthetics, you can schedule a consultation at any time without being a concierge member patient, as these these are considered cash based services.
However, access to our comprehensive primary care medicine service line, which would include UNLIMITED functional medicine consults, YES, you would be required to become a member. Traditional primary care would be blended with functional medicine under our membership model. We can manage chronic diseases, routine follow ups, health maintenance monitoring (MMG, colonoscopy, vaccines etc), and acute/sick visits under this umbrella. We have on site medications, blood draw/labs, EKG, rapid testing for flu/ covid and strep, urinalysis, nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy and MORE. Memberships can be paid monthly, quarterly, or annually based on your preference.
How do I become a Thomas Medical patient?

Is there an office charge after you pay for your membership fee?
Yes, your subscription fee is a retainer that provides you with 24/7 access to your provider via phone or email. Provider visits and tests will be billed through a patient’s insurance when applicable. Deductibles are still the patient’s responsibility.
How much does membership cost?
We believe there is no better investment than to invest into your own health and wellbeing! Options will include monthly installments or an annual fee if preferred. Please contact us at (910) 639-5591 to learn more about our available programs and if you are the right fit for our practice. A credit card will be kept on file for automatic billing.
Will I receive any bills from Thomas Medical after being seen for a visit?
Your membership fee is a retainer that provides you with 24/7 access to your provider. We bill your insurance each time we provide care, and if your insurance provider does not pay the standard claim, you will receive an invoice from Thomas Medical and be responsible for payment. If you have a high deductible plan, you are required by your insurance to meet your deductible and we are required to invoice you, so you will receive a bill from Thomas Medical until your insurance deductible is met for the year.
Are there any other services offered besides primary care?
Yes! We also offer additional aesthetic, functional medicine, physical therapy, and wellness services that you may purchase additionally to work towards achieving your wellness goals.
Do you have to be a concierge member to be treated for functional medicine consults, aesthetics, physical therapy, or wellness services?
No. We welcome anyone in the community that may be interested in these services, as these treatments are separate and cash pay.
What if I need to see a specialist?
We’ll set it up and make sure the specialist has all your info. Then we’ll work their findings into your overall health plan.
What if I am having an emergency?
Thomas Medical is not an emergency room replacement. If you are having a medical emergency and need immediate treatment, you should call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Do you accept health insurance?
Yes, we are In-Network with the following carriers: BCBS NC, Medicare, Aetna, and Cigna. We will additionally bill Tricare and out-of network carriers. Please see our health insurance page for more detailed information on using your health insurance benefits at Thomas Medical.
